Aguilas International Technical Institute is an independent, multi~cultural school in Tampa, Florida. We are licensed by the Florida Department of Education, Approved by the Board of Nursing and the Board of Pharmacy and we are dedicated to offering the highest quality education in the allied health career field.

SCHOOL FOUNDER AND CEO
Lucy Stewart
Aguilas International Technical Institute was founded on October 7th, 2003 by Lucila Puentes-Stewart who saw a need for quality health care programs and developed a training center to offer training to Spanish speaking and English speaking students who wished to enter the healthcare field. Aguilas International Technical Institute is an international institute because it serves Spanish speaking students from all over the world. All of our courses are taught in both Spanish and English so that students whose first language is Spanish can learn the didactics of the program while improving their English-language skills.
Mrs. Stewart has many years of experince not only in teaching, but also as a Registered Nursing in the state of Florida. Her goal for Aguilas is to provide excellent allied health training, and maintain a positive educational experience for all our students.

ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF
Janelle Stewart
Janelle started her journey with us as a Program Director for Medical Assistant. In February 2016, she started her role as the new School Director. She brings many years of experience in education.
Janelle is fluent in both English and Spanish. If you see her around campus say, "Hi!" Janelle loves to be able to interact with our students and cares about each and every student experience.
Emily Mass
Emily started at Aguilas in January of 2014. She was brought on board to help in the compliance department. She has many years of experience working as an administrator in various medical training centers. Emily helps Aguilas maintain compliance with the Department of Education, Florida Board of Nursing, Florida Board of Pharmacy, and various others state and national agencies.
Liyan De La Cruz
Liyan has been working at Aguilas for 5 years. She has filled many roles here at Aguilas, but as of today she is our admissions representative. Liyan handles all appointments and walk ins. She will be your point of contact in regards to all initial enrollment paperwork and processes.
If you need to speak to someone at Aguilas in regards to starting a program Liyan will be the staff member. Her calender is available online and your appointment can be set up virtually HERE.
Lilisbel Hernandez
Lilisbel is our finance person. She will help you during your enrollment process to set up your in house payment plans. If you have questions on program costs, payment options or other financial related questions Lilisbel will be the staff member for you to contact.

Yeni La Rosa
Yeni has been with Aguilas for 6 years. Yeni does all our student services. She does all our final file audits, makes transcripts, prints diplomas and helps with career services and advising.
Our standards of academic progress is our way to ensure the student is benefiting from the program they are enrolled in. Yeni does our SAP assesments on all our students with the help of our faculty members.
Milena Soto
Student Liasion
Office Hours: Monday- Friday 9-5
Milena is our student liasion. She is the first face you meet when you come to the campus. Milena runs the front office and assist in student services. She also helps in ordering student uniforms and taking payments.
Milena has been with us for 4 years now and loves to help the student services representative with placement. With resume building, updating the career board and collecting data she is a valubale asset for both Aguilas and the students.
